The Sunnah Way of Cutting the Nails

Sunnah of Trimming Nails

Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said that, 'He who does not remove bodily hair from below the navel, and does not trim the nails, and does not trim his mustache, is not one of us.' i.e. it is against our practice.

To grow the mustache below the lips is forbidden and a sin. Those who grow their nails long following fashion should be aware that this is a very serious matter and should be stopped as it is not fit for a Muslim to grow the nails, we should be representative and an example to the rest.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that, 'Five are the acts of fitra (natural inclination):
1) circumcision,
2) removing the hair below the navel,
3) trimming the mustache,
4) cutting the nails, and
5) plucking the hair under the arms.'

Sunnats of drinking: Water

There are five sunnats of drinking:
1.   Never drink from a bottle (carbon dioxide is released in the bottle).
2.   Do not drink from the mug's cleft and do not breathe in the beverage.
3.   Drink in three drafts. (sips). The Holy Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him has said:
"The water quenches the thirst and is sanitary."
4.   Invoke Allah (s.w) when you drink and praise him when you finish. It is reported in a hadith that the
Holy Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said:
"Do not drink the water in one draft just like camels but drink it in one or three gushes,
and  invoke Allah (s.w) when you drink and praise him when you finish."

Manners of sitting whilst eating

Regarding the manners of sitting when eating it was the habit of the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him that he did not eat whilst reclining.
It was true that the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said:
"I do not eat while reclining. I do sit like the slave of Allah and I do eat like him."
It is narrated in a hadith that the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him prohibited the man to eat while lying with his face  downward.
The concept of reclining has been explained in various ways:
1.   To sit cross-legged.
2.   To lean on an object.
3.   To lean upon a flank (side).
Regarding  number 3, (to lean upon  a flank) it is the most harmful way of sitting because when you lean upon a flank it alters the natural way of food . The other two (to sit cross-legged  and to lean on an object ) are the ways the powerful people sit who go contrary to slavery.

The Sunnats Of Eating

1.    To wash both hands up to the wrists
2.    To spread out the dastarkhan (table cloth)
3.    To recite Bismillah
4.    To eat with the right hand (unless you are incapable of)
5.    To eat from that which is in front of you.
If there is a variety of food in the dastarkhan then one could eat whatever one likes. One should
stretch out his hand (in order to get the food) after the other person has drawn his hand back.

Teeth care

Abu-Na'eem (the blessed one) has written in Kitabut-Tib that Qabiyah bin Zaweer (r.a) reports from the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him that he (the prophet) has instructed for picking teeth as failing to do this makes teeth weak and angels disgusted.
The one who observes the prophet's guidance will find out that it is the best way of preserving the health. In fact the health preservation depends on the good managing of food, drink, clothing, residence air, sleeping, awakening, movement, serenity, marriage, emptying and restraining. If these elements take place moderately and in a proper way that fits the body, the country, the age and the habitude; health would be preserved until death.

Dangers of Excessive Eating

Eating less also holds some great benefits. Describing these benefits the most eminent scholar of the 20th Century Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi Sahib (rah) who at the age of 25 became an Alim (scholar). For the aid of the muslim ummah (generation) he began writing Kitabs (islamic books) regarding the muslim law in which he wrote a great number of kitabs which come to a calculation of over 950. Until now these kitabs are flourishing around the whole globe very rapidly. His kitabs can be found in every topic: Fiqh (jurisprudence), Qur'an, T.V, Music, etc. An article had been published in a magazine called 'Al-Mu'min' in which it states that he has scientifically warned:
"Many sins are  the consequences of providing excessive nourishment to the stomach, i.e.. Abstain from haram food. Do not become addicted to delicious food. Do not eat excessively. Leave some space in the stomach, i.e.. Do not eat to satiation.

What is Love

 Photo: What is Love

Love is when Khadijah (radi Allahu anha) spent her entire wealth on this Deen for the Man she loved.

Love is when the Prophet (sal Allahu Alayhi wa sallam) took the glass that Ayesha (radiAllahu anha) drank from and put his lips on the exact place she put her’s and then drank.

Love is when the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) had a race with Ayesha (radi Allahu anha) and joked with her when she lost.

Love is when Zainab (radi Allahu anha) would sacrifice her most prized possession, her everything for her husband.

Real Love is not based on romance, candle light dinners and walks along the beach rather it is based On respect, compromise, care and trust.

Three Tough Questions

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or any expert who could answer his 3 Questions. Finally, his parents were able to find a Muslim scholar.

Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?

Scholar: I am one of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala )'s slaves and Insha-Allah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.

Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions.

IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM (NUDITY)

While reading news headlines recently I was so shocked to see an advertisement for “actors” to “star in a porn movie”. The advert was a news article inviting people to audition as if it was a perfectly normal thing. I really was surprised and I actually had to check to make sure that I had read correctly. Unfortunately I had read correctly, this was so disappointing I can’t tell you how it sickened me.
What can you can expect though, from a society which insists on absolute freedom in all regards. It’s no wonder that things which used to be sacred are no longer regarded in this manner. So much so that even very young, innocent children are exposed to all sorts of lewdness and nudity.

Pornography is a real problem in our societies. The negative effects are undoubtedly obvious (that is for those who actually open their eyes and ponder). This includes an increase in sexual related crimes, increase in childhood sexuality and teen pregnancies. Sometimes it has even lead to the breakdown of marriages and families. In short, this is a threat to a moral and righteous way of life. And the problem is that pornography is so easily available to anyone and everyone. Previously people had more shame and perhaps they were stopped from watching these things because of the embarrassment of having other people (albeit strangers) know that you are watching it. People had to go out and get access to these films or magazines, but now there are no boundaries because these things can very easily be accessed in private on cell-phones and computers.

Girls without HIJAB is Hot that's why hell is hot.

Girls with HIJAB is beautiful that's why paradise is beautiful.

What is the Hijab?

The word itself comes from the arabic word "hajaba" meaning to conceal or hide from view. Hijab is the modest covering of the head and body of muslim women.

Who has to wear it?
All muslim adults are supposed to wear the appropriate hijab for their sex. This is one Hadith related by Abu Dawood: "Ayesha(r) reported that Asmaa bint Abu Bakr(r) came to the Messenger of Allah(swt) while wearing thin clothing. He approached her and said: 'O Asmaa! When a girl reaches the menstrual age, it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this.' He pointed to the face and hands."

Why do they have to wear it?
Muslims must wear the hijab because Allah(swt) ordered it. Muslims have two sources for guidance. The first and most important source is Qur'an, the revealed word of Allah(swt). They may then use Hadith which is the sayings and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad(saw) who was chosen by Allah(swt) to be a role model for mankind.
